Softly is a private journal for iOS — no streaks, no metrics, no productivity dashboard. Write a free entry, three gratitudes, a mood, or an affirmation. Your month shows up as a watercolor calendar. The words that return become a constellation.
Everything stays on your device. No accounts, no tracking, no analytics, no server watching. Speech recognition happens on-device. Face ID is only used to unlock your space. We don't collect any data.
Open the app → tap You → Private space → toggle on "Ask for Face ID at launch." The app will ask for permission the first time.
All entries are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData. Nothing is sent to a server.
Tap Diary → tap a day to open it → tap the entry → use the trash icon. To delete everything, uninstall the app: iOS removes the local database.
An entry you seal today and that only opens on the date you choose (a month, a year, anytime in the future). While sealed, the text is encrypted with AES-GCM and not even visible to you.
Try restarting your device. If it persists, reinstall the app (note: local data will be lost). If it still happens, please contact us with the model of your iPhone and your iOS version.
Yes, Softly is free to use. There are no ads, no subscriptions, no in-app purchases.
